It's been a long time since my last post, and I'm going to resume some chatter here. It's been snowy and icy, which made some time to get crackin' on the blog. First off, take a look at the new version of Smugmug where I post my photos:

The first goin's on for 2018 are the prep activities for my Lightroom classes that start next week. We have good turnout at the Community College with the Peer Learning Partnership (PLP) where I'm a member. This will be a rare instance in their activities for a course in training, rather than a lecture/interaction.
The next day will also be a teaching session of the same subject, but this time at the Annapolis Senior Center, where there are 11 registered students. These classes go for eight 2-1/2 hour sessions for a total of 20 hours. It may seem long but it's actually short compared to the online lecturers who take on the order of 75 hours and dozens of videos to get the points across.
I've been delighted to find that the registrations are full at 16. These are sharp people who want to continue learning, and particularly to address their lifetime collection of photos that continue to grow as they travel and capture family pictures digitally.
One of the events here in Annapolis was watching the thermometer reach new lows. It was 5F when I got up one morning last week, but the temp soared to 14 during that day! It was not conforming to the climate's warming, for sure, due to a deep penetration of cold air from Canada that covered most of the US east of the Mississippi. Gone now - 54 today!
